We are going to explain how you can create and send a poll for a WhatsApp chat, so that all participants in the conversation can give their opinion on a specific topic, without having to do it in a separate message.

Until now, there were unofficial methods to create polls on WhatsApp, which required third-party apps or services to work. Thanks to this update, it is no longer necessary to resort to this type of tool.
To be able to use surveys on WhatsApp, you must first make sure that you have a version of the application that supports this function. Therefore, it is recommended to download the latest available version of WhatsApp before proceeding.
Once you have it, you'll only have to follow a few simple steps to create and send a survey:
- Open a WhatsApp chat and tap the attach files icon with the paperclip icon.
- Tap on the “Polls” option.
- Write the question and the different survey responses. You can drag them up or down to change their search position.
- Tap “Send”.
That is all. Once sent, you and the other participants in the chat will be able to send their votes, and the administrator will be able to see the votes of the different participants in a summary panel where all the data appears. The rest of the chat members will only see how many votes each answer has.
