The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is already a reality, and promises to become the main high-end Android processor in 2023. However, we know that the first phones equipped with this processor will hit the market before the end of 2022.
Soon after the announcement of Qualcomm's new platform, several smartphone makers rushed to confirm their plans to launch new Android phones with Qualcomm's latest engine inside. Now, we know who will be the first to arrive.
Xiaomi was one of the first companies to confirm the arrival of a new flagship with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in its catalog. Everything seems to indicate that it will be the Xiaomi 13 Pro, whose launch in China is scheduled for before the end of the year.
Another one that doesn't lose its commitment to Qualcomm's news is OnePlus. The Chinese company confirmed through its Weibo profile that the future OnePlus 11 (all rumors suggest that there will be no OnePlus 11 Pro this year) will mount the latest flagship processor from the Californian company. At the moment, its release date has not been revealed.
HONOR 80 Pro
Huawei's former subsidiary, HONOR, plans to announce its new generation of flagships in the coming weeks, and everything seems to indicate that the HONOR 80 Pro will be the model chosen by the family to equip the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Its presentation will take place on October 23rd.
Motorola Edge 40 Pro
Motorola's Edge series will continue to grow this year, with the brand's first model featuring the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It's called Motorola Edge 40 Pro and would arrive in China before the end of the year, and then spread to the rest of the planet.
Just as OnePlus plans to launch its bet with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, its sister company, OPPO, also plans to unveil new Find X series smartphones with this new processor. It's probably the OPPO Find X6 Pro.
These are just some of the smartphones that will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip in the coming weeks. However, it is expected that more brands will decide to join and launch new models during the first months of 2023. According to Qualcomm, brands such as iQOO, nubia, REDMAGIC, Redmi, SHARP, Sony Corporation, vivo, MEIZU and ZTE are also planning to resort to your new reference platform.
